The IN-WORK Project’s forthcoming Transnational Meeting at the University of Rovira i Virgili and the INSERLAB Initiative

The forthcoming 3rd Transnational Project Meeting of the IN-WORK project, set to be hosted at the University of Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain, is a significant event uniting partners from participating institutions. This Transnational Project Meeting is scheduled for November 7th and 8th, 2023, and represents a milestone in the project’s progress. During this meeting, project partners collaborate to refine training programs for university supervisors and hosting organization staff, sharing valuable insights. Furthermore, the project partners will discuss on the specifics of the pilot implementation of the IN-WORK program, which is planned to take place in each partner country in the upcoming months.

The University of Rovira i Virgili brings a wealth of experience in designing training and mentoring programs for youth with special educational needs that facilitate their integration into the job market. The program, “INSERLAB: Program for Professional Orientation for Socio-Labor Integration,” is tailored to young adults, aged 18 to 30, with intellectual disabilities of 33% or higher. This initiative concentrates on fostering essential life and work-related skills, including emotional intelligence, social proficiency, and personal autonomy. The ultimate aim is to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities and facilitate their integration into the job market, transforming them into valued members of the workforce.

The IN-WORK Transnational Project Meeting is an opportunity for project partners to collaborate, assess progress, and exchange best practices, drawing inspiration from the success of programs like INSERLAB.
